Freshman year has really gotten to me in many ways, but out of everything, mostly my weight was affected. I went from 97-100 pounds to 118-120 pounds. I know that doesn’t seem like a big difference but I’m also a short person (5 foot 1 inch to be exact), so any weight gain/loss makes a significant change on my body. I HATE how I’ve gained this weight. I always liked how people saw me as a tiny person and now I don’t feel like that person anymore. There have been days I haven’t wanted to leave my dorm, see my friends, or even see my boyfriend because of how I look. I know they all don’t judge me but the person I see in the mirror isn’t the person I used to be. I feel like I’ve become more sluggish, tired, demotivated, and just more unhappy since I put on this weight.
I decided to crawl out of my pity hole recently and push myself into a new challenge. There is a girl named Blake in my sorority and she told me that she will help me and set up workout schedules for us everyday.
Here is a rough sketch of what we’ll do listed below:
Monday: Treadmill, Abs, Butt
Tueday: Weights, Abs, Butt
Wednesday: Stairmaster, Circuit
Thursday: not sure yet actually
Friday: Interval running, Butt
I’ve gotten through day 2 already and I already feel better about myself and it’s nice to have someone to workout with and motivate me further. Blake is a sweetheart. That’s also why I decided to blog about it. I feel like it helps to write everything out and say my struggles outloud to motivate me. I’m also am going to be posting pictures of my changes every week (hopefully there are some). It’s a big deal for me to be posting pictures so please don’t judge me on how I look/ the weight I have on. I’ll also be saying what I eat everyday and the workouts more in detail.
